An Israeli ground invasion of Gaza is “imminent,” sources told Politico on Friday, as risks of grave consequences for Palestinians mount.

Quoting two Israeli officials, Politico reports that “the much-anticipated operation will happen in the coming hours or days.”

Earlier today, Israel ordered the evacuation of 1.1 million Palestinians from northern Gaza.

While under a complete siege with no supplies of water, gas, electricity or food, Israel has attacked Gaza with 6,000 airstrikes in six days, and bombed crucial crossings to the territory, hindering aid deliveries.

Roughly 1,800 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, while thousands have been displaced.
