The Public Prosecutor’s Office in the suburb of Paris, Nanterre, reported that Moroccan international and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defender Achraf Hakimi faced the woman who accused him of rape last March.

PSG previously announced Hakimi’s absence from the team’s training on Friday for personal reasons, and the coach, Luis Enrique, mentioned that it would not affect his presence in the squad for the upcoming match against Nantes.

French media sources indicated that Hakimi and his defense adamantly denied the allegations, while the prosecutor and her defense stood by her statements.

Hakimi was charged with rape last March after prosecutors in Nanterre questioned him following claims from a 24-year-old woman who alleged she was assaulted at the player’s residence in Boulogne-Billancourt on February 25.
