The schisms within the Islamic movement orchestrating support for Palestine activities have come to the forefront, in the wake of solidarity marches that unfolded across Moroccan cities.
Informed Hespress AR sources said that the Al Adl Wa Al Ihssane group harbored reservations about collaborating with the Justice and Development Party in protests and marches demonstrating solidarity with Gaza.
Leaders within Al Adl Wa Al Ihssane were unambiguous in articulating their concerns to the National Action Group for Palestine, urging a clear separation from the PJD, whose Secretary General had previously endorsed a normalization agreement with Israel.
During a solidarity rally held in Rabat, the Moroccan capital, on Wednesday evening, Hespress noted the presence of leaders from Al Adl Wa Al Ihssane standing alongside key figures from the Party of the Civilizational Alternativ and the Unity and Reform Movement.
Conspicuously missing from the front ranks of the protest were prominent members of the Justice and Development Party, with the exception of Abdelali Hami Eddine, who attended, apparently to avert any potential embarrassment.
In response to inquiries about this situation, Hassan Banajah, a leader within the Justice and Charity group, said, “our primary focus today remains unwavering: showing solidarity with our Palestinian brethren against the Zionist onslaught. Other matters are secondary.” He declined to either confirm or deny the accuracy of the information disclosed by the newspaper.
