The National Security Council of Israel (NSC) warned on Saturday its citizens against travel to Morocco, Egypt, and Jordan, according to Israeli-affiliated media.

This decision came in light of the ongoing escalation of regional tensions and demonstrations across the world denouncing the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7.

“Hostility and violence have been displayed against Jewish and Israeli symbols. The rhetoric of global jihad has become more extreme, which is calling to harm Israelis and Jews around the world,” justified NSC according to the Times of Israel.

The NSC issued another update advising its citizens to avoid non-essential trips to Morocco, as the travel warning for the Kingdom was raised to level 3.

Just three days ago, the Prime Minister’s office elevated the travel warning level for Morocco to level 2, based on the analysis made by the council about the developing threats towards Jews and Israelis around the world.

However, at that time the council urged its Israeli citizens traveling to Morocco to only take increased caution when being in the Kingdom.

The National Security Council has also urged its Israeli citizens in the latest update to leave Egypt –including the Sinai Peninsula—and Jordan as quickly as possible, given that the traveling alert elevated to level 4 for both countries.

The recommendations of the travel warnings issued by the NSC on Saturday also advised its Israeli citizens to avoid remaining in all Middle Eastern and Arab countries, including Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

“Given the ongoing war, we are witnessing a significant increase in anti-Israel protests in the past few days in countries around the world, and in particular, Arab countries in the Middle East,” said the announcement according to The Times of Israel.

It is additionally recommended to avoid trips to Muslim countries, such as Malaysia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the Maldives.

On Wednesday, NSC sent an alarming update to its Israeli citizens staying in Turkey, as the travel warning level to this country raised to its highest level, Level 4, indicating a high threat.

The council also pointed out that the transit flights in enemy countries to Israel such as Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and Yemen as well as countries with a high threat level such as Libya, Algeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Somalia, were highly prohibited.

The travel warning issued on Wednesday came amid the outrage and demonstrations worldwide denouncing Israeli aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, especially after the devastating bombing of the Al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital that was packed with wounded, among which were children.

It’s worth noting that The Israeli Foreign Minister carried out an evacuation procedure for its liaison office personnel in Morocco. The entire staff of the Israeli Liaison Office in Rabat has left Moroccan soil for Israel at the same time.
