Jordan airdropped medical aid to a Jordanian field hospital in the Gaza Strip over the weekend, Jordanian state media quoted an official of the Jordanian Armed Forces as saying on Sunday.
It was Jordan’s second airdrop, following its first last week.
“The drop operation came in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to enhance the hospital’s capabilities and increase the ability of medical personnel to provide health and treatment services to Palestinians in Gaza,” Petra News reported.
Jordan has been critical of Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza and has said the hospital in Gaza continues to operate despite difficult conditions.
Aid is parachuted into Gaza in coordination with Israel. The packages are said to be checked for security reasons, according to media reports.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman renewed calls for an immediate ceasefire, and the summit called for ending the “siege” on Gaza, the report said.
Abdullah and Bahrain Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met on Saturday to discuss efforts to stop the war on Gaza, Petra News reported.
“Discussions at the meeting reaffirmed the importance of intensifying Arab and Islamic efforts and moving forward with active players and regional partners to stop the war and sustain the delivery of medical and relief aid,” the report said.
Several countries have played a role in supporting medical centers in Gaza, including Jordan, the UAE, Qatar and Indonesia. Some even have hospitals named for their support, and the hospitals get assistance from other international organizations as well.
In recent days, fighting near several hospitals in northern Gaza has garnered international attention, including battles near Shifa Hospital, Quds Hospital, Awda Hospital, Rantisi Hospital, and Indonesian Hospital.
