Currently Israel is taking action to eliminate Hamas’ military capabilities, striking Gaza from the air, cutting off electricity, food, and fuel supplies, and amassing troops near the Gaza border for a looming ground invasion. Merissa Khurma, Director of the Middle East Program, comments on the regional impact of the war.
